National Disaster Risk Reduction (NDRR) Grant Program
Do you have a project that will better prepare and protect the Western Australian Community from the threats of natural hazards?
$4.8 million is now available to eligible community groups, not-for-profit organisations and state and local government agencies for natural disaster risk reduction projects and initiatives. The funding has been made available under the NDRR grants program. To check if your project is eligible, read the grant guidelines and lodge your application to email@example.com.
Applications for the third round of the NDRR grants program are now open and close at 12pm, 6 May 2022.
Who can apply ?
1. Local government agencies
2. State government agencies
3. Government trading entities
4. Incorporated organisations
5. Not-for-profit organisations
Eligible applicants may apply for funding from $10,000 to $250,000 (ex. GST) but for projects demonstrating state or sector wide significance, no capped amount will be applied beyond the funds available for the grant round.
What is the NDRR?
The Western Australian Government has a National Partnership Agreement (NPA) for Disaster Risk Reduction with the Commonwealth to fund disaster reduction activities that are specifically intended to deliver the outcomes of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework (NDRRF). The NPA is the primary funding mechanism for the National Disaster Risk Reduction (NDRR) Grants Program.
The State Emergency Management Committee (SEMC) Business Unit administers the NDRR Grants program in WA.
The NDRR grants will deliver funding for projects that demonstrate alignment with the following:
1. Address at least one of the four (4) Commonwealth NDRRF priorities.
2. Demonstrates one or more of the thirteen (13) State Priority Action Areas, including those outlined in the WA Implementation Plan for the NDRRF.
3. Addresses at least one of the seven (7) managed natural hazards.
