​WA disaster resilience activities receive funding sup​​​port​

The OEM recently announc​ed many successful grant applications, thanks to the jointly-funded Commonwealth and State Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP) competitive grants round, as well as OEM's own program, the 2017-18 All West Australians Reducing Emergencies (AWARE) grants round.

ND​RP grants round 

The NDRP round attracted many projects of merit, with the Assessment Panel, SEMC, State and Commonwealth Ministers all endorsing the investment into the following projects. The projects aim to enhance disaster resilience in WA and working towards achieving the strategic priorities outlined within the National Strategy for Disaster Resilience.

AWARE grants round​

In January 2017 the AWARE grants round opened, attracting $480,000 worth of applications. The successful applicants were announced in June 2017, with all projects aiming to build capacity in emergency management at a local or district level.
